When you come to LMU, bring your registration confirmation to the check-in table; anyone can create a personal schedule online, but it won’t admit you to the conference or its workshops.

Growing up a 3rd Culture Kid and global nomad, Dr. Nguyen has lived, studied and worked on four continents, experiencing the best of many worlds. Navigating with ease through cultures, speaking multiple languages and adapting to new situations were constant learning expectations. Dr. Nguyen is a transformative leader who focuses on student-centered outcomes for 21st Century learners. She has first-hand experience as ELL, foreign student, IBDP graduate, parent, teacher and administrator (PreK-12). She has worked in emerging markets, at the U.N., in international schools, Catholic schools and as a Fulbright-Hays GPA scholar. She serves as Principal of St. Augustine School, is a as member of the I3 Innovation Institute and a member of Leadership Council of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. Dr. Nguyen has collaborated with educators at EARCOS in Borneo, The Think Tank for Global Education at Harvard University 2016 & 2017, Global Education & Skills Forum 2017 & 2018 in Dubai, and at Al-Akhawayn University (Morocco), UCLA, Dominican University, and Santa Clara University (Silicon Valley). Dr. Nguyen presented virtually at the Global Ed Conference 2016. In 2017, she presented at the University of Rio De Janiero about the urgency for educators to address the needs of marginalized students in our care. She earned her B.A. in Diplomacy and World Affairs at Occidental, her M.A. in Education from LMU, and her Doctorate in Educational Leadership for Social Justice from LMU. Her recent doctoral research focused on Global Competencies for 21st Century Learners. In 2018, Dr. Nguyen established the Catholic Education for Global Competency (CE4GC) Networked Improvement Community (NIC) within the ADLA/DCS to promote collaboration and dialogue among Catholic educators locally and globally.
